Wage War release God Complex four days before Landfall
On October 5, 2026, Wage War released God Complex, the fifth single from their sixth album, Landfall. The album comes out digitally on October 9 through Fearless Records. It runs 13 songs and 42 minutes, 53 seconds. God Complex is track five and lasts 2 minutes, 55 seconds. Errick Easterday directed the clip. He has also directed videos for Boundaries and ERRA, and Wage War’s August video for Sweet Dreams. Chaoszine calls the new clip a visualizer. ThePRP and Distorted Sound call it a music video. The band offered no comment on the single. The press release describes it as a relentless anthem with a deep groove, a futuristic chorus, and a breakdown that could level a city. That wording comes from the label, not from Wage War.
The album was announced on September 4 alongside the title track, Landfall. The band were talking about that song, not about God Complex.
“‘Landfall’ is a song about imminent danger and the realization that we aren’t in control. Referencing our Florida roots, the hurricane imagery became a way of talking about that feeling of being completely at the mercy of something bigger than yourself. Musically, we wanted the verses to feel heavy and threatening, with the chorus being somber and inevitable.”
Wage War
On Landfall, Briton Bond screams the line “all life becomes extinct,” and the arrangement includes emergency-broadcast tones. Rhythm guitarist and clean vocalist Cody Quistad produced the album, the first Wage War record the band produced themselves. The God Complex credit lists him as the writer.
The other singles were already out. Song of the Swamp arrived on February 24 and Blindfold on April 17, both from the EP It Calls Me by Name, released the same day as Blindfold. Sweet Dreams, first billed as a standalone single, came out on August 14. The band said that song is about being deceived by the world around you. The title track followed on September 4. The rest of Landfall is Silk, Figure 8, Stay With Me, Silence Has Spoken, Way Of Pain, Red Dot, Spellbound, and Silhouette.
The Emergency Broadcast tour starts October 25 at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio and ends November 27 at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill support. The run also hits Las Vegas, Toronto, Philadelphia, and Nashville.
The lineup is Briton Bond, Cody Quistad, lead guitarist Seth Blake, bassist Chris Gaylord, and drummer Stephen Kluesener. Landfall is the band’s sixth studio album. The previous one, Stigma, came out in 2024. Its single Magnetic reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
