In This Moment’s Witch arrives Friday: witches, covers, and Dayseeker
On August 28, In This Moment release their ninth studio album, Witch — the first record on Better Noise Music, and the follow-up to 2023’s Godmode. The album was announced in July. This week the first reviews landed: the record is already with journalists, two days out from streaming.
“Witch is my declaration of inner transformation. It’s about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power. The album reflects both ancient trials and my own journey — where being a ‘witch’ means being a creator, connected to the universe, manifesting my own reality.”

Eleven tracks, just under 50 minutes. Produced by Kane Churko, Kile Odell and Wzrd Bld (Drew Fulk). The press notes pitch it as every side of the band at once: the fury, the femininity, and the fire. Three singles are already out: Heretic with Kim Dracula (July 2025), Sleeping With The Enemy (May 2026), and Crawl, which arrived July 17 with a Michael Lombardi video — the same day the album title dropped.
“Crawl is a reckoning — a reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable. Bearing witness to the harm they inflict, the song declares that those who once stood tall will be brought to their knees.”

Guitarist Chris Howorth calls it a visceral track about powerful entities dominating the weaker and compromised — “something that continues to repeat itself throughout human history” — and, at its core, about standing up and fighting back.
There are three guests. Dayseeker’s Rory Rodriguez appears on I Want To Believe. Kim Dracula is on Heretic. Kat Von D fronts a cover of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall. That is one of three covers on the record: The Police’s Wrapped Around Your Finger, and a nearly seven-minute closer, Nine Inch Nails’ Something I Can Never Have, which the band already played on the Hell Hath No Fury Tour. Covers are not new for In This Moment. Three on one album is.

Then they go on the road. September 17: support for Nothing More in La Crosse, Wisconsin. September 19: Louder Than Life in Louisville. From September 22 through October 26 they co-headline the revived Taste of Chaos tour with Hollywood Undead, plus I See Stars, Vana and Melrose Avenue. It opens in Charlotte and closes at House of Blues Anaheim.
